In Haryana, the monthly supply of Karnal depot holder Dinesh Kumar has been suspended with immediate effect. This action has been taken under the PDS Control Order-2009. The administration has taken this action after receiving complaints about forcibly giving flags to ration card holders. District Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Controller Karnal has issued this order.
Karnal Deputy Commissioner Anish Yadav said that the monthly supply of ration to the depot holder has been suspended with immediate effect. Dinesh Kumar, the depot holder of Chidav Hemda attached with village Dadupur, was forcibly giving flags to the ration card holders and defaming the department and the government. The depot holder has tried to tarnish the image of the government and the department on his own volition.
After the matter came to the notice of the administration, the District Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Controller took action in this matter. The Deputy Commissioner made it clear that the government has given clear instructions that the tricolors available at the PDS Center are only for the convenience of the public so that those who want to take the flag can get it in the village itself and do not have to go far. He said that no one can be compelled to take the flag. Anyone can take the tricolor from here voluntarily. All the flags left after August 15 will be returned.
