Amit Bisht, who illuminated the name of Panipat in the world by hoisting the tricolour on Everest

Perhaps this is the first time that Everest received heavy snowfall in May. Due to this, the layer of snow that normally freezes on the mountains became 5 feet thicker. This was a huge challenge for the climbers. For this reason, out of 450 climbers who went on the mission to conquer Everest, only 175 were able to hoist the tricolour on the Chatti. One of those proud parents, resident of Panipat and Colonel Amit Bisht in the army told these things while sharing his experience.

Amit Bisht, who raised the name of Panipat in the world by hoisting the tricolour on Everest, is being honoured by President Ram Nath Kovind with the Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award on November 13 for this achievement. This award is parallel to Arjuna Award. In this 15 lakh cash and bronze statue will be presented. Colonel Bisht told that in May this year there were 2 big storms. Know that there were Taute and Yass.

Due to these, the layer of snow that normally freezes on the hills had become 5 feet thicker. It was not easy to walk in it. The risk of death due to excessive breathlessness was high. Still, he accepted the challenge and succeeded.
