On August 6, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will mark the foundation stone-laying ceremony for the redevelopment of 508 railway stations across the country through a video conference under the ambitious Amrit Bharat Station Yojana. This initiative aims to modernize and upgrade the infrastructure of railway stations, enhancing passenger experience and strengthening the overall public transportation system.
As part of the scheme, 15 railway stations from the state of Haryana have also been included, and their development and modernization will be prioritized. Chief Minister Shri Manohar Lal expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for including Haryana in this transformative project. He emphasized that the revitalization of railway stations will result in improved facilities for travelers, making their journeys more comfortable and convenient.
The Amrit Bharat Station Yojana aims to transform railway stations into world-class transit hubs, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and modern amenities. It will not only enhance passenger experience but also contribute to the economic growth of the regions surrounding these stations.
