Story

‘Buhe Bariyan’ tells the story of a group of resilient women who’ve suffered under a patriarchal society. The film centers on Bhuro Bebe’s (Nirmal Rishi) feminist journey as she runs for Sarpanchi. While the plot isn’t entirely unique, it effectively highlights the importance of feminism and women’s struggles.

Acting

Neeru Bajwa delivers a flawless performance as Prem Kaur, leaving the audience craving more of her screen time. Nirmal Rishi shines as always, stealing the spotlight with her terrific acting. The supporting cast also does a commendable job.

Direction

Director Uday Pratap Singh and his team manage a big and talented cast expertly. The film maintains balance and never feels overdone. However, the screenplay falters in the middle, and Neeru Bajwa’s character could have been explored further.

Music & Songs

The film features melodious songs, with “Dukhan Di Aukaat” being a standout. The music adds to the overall experience, and there are some entertaining musical sequences.

Overall

‘Buhe Bariyan’ is a compelling film that addresses women’s issues in a dramatic yet impactful way. It’s thought-provoking, entertaining, and socially relevant. Despite minor flaws, it’s definitely worth watching, offering laughter, emotion, and social awareness in one package. So, book your tickets and enjoy the empowering journey it portrays.
