The graph of corona virus cases in Delhi is again going up. In the last 24 hours, i.e. on Wednesday, 299 cases were reported. Earlier, this high number of cases were detected on March 4 when 302 cases were registered. However, the figure then was out of 47,738 tests, while 299 cases on Wednesday were found out of 12,022 samples. Meaning the positivity rate was 2.49%, which is the highest in Delhi in the last three months. A day earlier, on Tuesday, the positivity rate was 1.71%.
Experts have expressed apprehension that the actual number of cases may be higher than this. However, he believes that there is not much to worry about as the patients are not increasing in the hospitals. The increase in Kovid cases is being seen not only in Delhi, but in many cities of UP and Haryana including Gurgaon, Noida, Ghaziabad. In the last few days, 35 cases have been found in the schools of Noida and Ghaziabad.
On Wednesday also 173 patients recovered in Delhi. The number of active patients of Kovid increased to 814 beyond eight hundred. It is a matter of relief that only 11 Kovid positive patients are admitted for treatment. Out of this, 5 patients are in ICU and there is not a single patient on ventilator. Out of 11, 10 are from Delhi and one patient is from outside Delhi.
