Highlighting the importance of water resources, Hooda stressed that rivers are a national asset, not exclusive to any state. He called for the Haryana government to assert its rights firmly and ensure compliance with the Supreme Court’s judgment by both the central government and the Punjab government.

Hooda also pointed out the significance of three primary sources of irrigation in Haryana: the Yamuna River, the Bhakra Dam, and tube wells, all facing challenges. He urged the Punjab government to implement the Supreme Court’s decision promptly and emphasized the need for unity within Haryana on the SYL canal issue.

Deepender Hooda’s call for compliance with the Supreme Court’s verdict and the preservation of water resources highlights the critical nature of this issue for the region. The SYL canal matter requires immediate attention and resolution to safeguard the interests of both Punjab and Haryana.
