Actor Ranbir Kapoor says he is looking forward to the birth of his first child and is very excited and anxious about it.
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt got married in April this year. Alia had announced herself pregnant last month. Ranbir says that it has become extremely difficult for him to express his feelings and he is looking forward to this new phase in his life.
Ranbir told PTI, “I am grateful, excited, feeling nervous and restless. I have a lot of expectations from myself and this relationship… and what do I want from it… and what do I want to give. That’s all I can say for now.”
Ranbir, who has made his mark with films like “Rocket Singh”, “Wake Up Sid”, “Rockstar”, “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” and “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil”, says the birth of a child did not affect his film career. Will not.
Ranbir, 39, said that during his career spanning over 15 years till now, he has always chosen films according to his preferences and has been careful. She believes that there is nothing in her filmography that she should be ashamed to show her child.
Ranbir said, “I am always conscious about the choice of films because I know society is affected by it. I will not do anything that will hurt people’s sentiments just for the sake of entertainment. This is my personality. I have no regrets or remorse about any of my films. I don’t think I have any films that I would like to hide from my child. I believe that like success, failure also has its own importance.
Ranbir’s much-awaited film ‘Shamshera’ is scheduled to release in theaters on July 22.
