Haryana government’s big decision regarding players, now fees will not have to be paid for practice in the stadium

The Haryana government has taken a commendable step regarding the players. Now no fee will be charged from the players coming for practice in the stadium or sports complex present in the state. Announcing this decision, State Sports Minister Sandeep Singh said that this decision has been taken to develop Haryana as a sports hub and to expedite the plan to nurture the talent of the players.

The dominance of Haryana players is well known. For example, 31 of the Indian athletes who participated in the Olympic Games last year were from Haryana. Same, Punjab came second, with 19 players representing India. The only gold that India won in Tokyo Olympics was also given by an athlete from Haryana.

India also won a field hockey bronze medal, with two team members hailing from Haryana. India finished 47th in the Olympic medal tally with seven medals, including a gold, at the Tokyo Olympics 2020. Other athletes who won medals included weightlifter Mirabai Chanu (Silver), boxer Lovlina Borgohain (Bronze) and shuttler PV Sindhu (Bronze).
