Haryanvi artist Navin Naru was arrested on Monday by Haryana police based on a woman’s complaint of sexual assault and blackmail. DSP Ravinder Sangwan confirmed the arrest, stating that the accused was swiftly presented in court and subsequently sent to jail.
The complainant, a school teacher, accused Naru of creating explicit videos and attempting blackmail. Sangwan mentioned that the police have seized the artist’s vehicle, and an ongoing investigation is examining the case.
Allegations of Serious Misconduct
In her complaint, the woman stated that she encountered Naru in 2020, alleging that he befriended her under pretenses of making her a heroine and providing financial aid. She claimed that Naru drugged her tea during a visit to his home, committing the crime, and subsequently engaging in blackmail through explicit videos.
Threats and Counterclaims
After disclosing the incident, the artist allegedly threatened the woman. While she initially agreed to a settlement, communication ceased, and she declined further monetary offers. Naru, in response, denies all accusations, attributing them to a false financial dispute.
Ongoing Investigation
A comprehensive investigation is underway, involving the seizure of the artist’s car and scrutiny of bank details. Naru, known for collaborations with Sapna Choudhary, awaits legal proceedings as the case progresses. Note that developments may alter the narrative.
