Hisar Congress Rally: Pink Turbans Infuse Energy into Congress’ ‘Opposition Before You’ Event
The Hisar Congress Rally, themed “Opposition Before You,” witnessed anelectric atmosphere as supporters donning pink turbans and enthusiastic fervor thronged the event. Addressing the gathering, former Chief Minister Bhupender Singh Hooda set the stage ablaze with his impassioned address, infusing a renewed sense of purpose into the crowd.
Hooda, a prominent Congress leader, emphasized that the rally wasn’t merely an “Opposition Before You” event, but rather a proposition of choices before the people. He urged the audience to move from the old adage to a new narrative, stating, “Oust BJP-JJP, welcome Congress. It’s time to change the equation.”
Rekindling past memories, Hooda reflected, “In 2014, I was the harbinger of progress, responsible for offering jobs and prosperity to Haryana. Today, the same state is plagued by corruption, crime, and debt, all under the BJP-JJP rule. At 76, I’m ready for the challenge. I ask you, will you stand by me?”
Highlighting the failures of the present administration, Hooda remarked, “We are burdened with a colossal debt of over 4 lakh crore rupees. Inflation has skyrocketed, diesel prices have surged, and promises have dwindled. Haryana, once a vanguard of development, now grapples with its darker side.”
In a poignant homage to the late former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on his birth anniversary, Hooda remarked, “We commemorate Rajiv Gandhi’s vision as Sadbhavana Diwas today. His dream, however, has been overshadowed by the people’s disillusionment. Haryana’s top position in progress in 2014 has now translated into being number one in corruption, crime, and debt.”
Accompanying Hooda’s fervor, other Congress leaders also took the stage, echoing his sentiments. Deepening the political flavor, Jai Prakash, also known as JP, stated, “The government’s arrogance will be shattered. The people are ready for change.” He emphasized the need for transformation and the crowd’s undeniable power.
Uday Bhan, the Pradesh Congress President, launched scathing remarks at the current BJP-JJP coalition government, declaring, “The wind of change is here. Congress has gathered storm-like momentum, while BJP-JJP has dwindled to single digits. Congress is heading for 70 plus seats.” He pledged a resurgence of the state’s economy, the return of black money, and a focus on resolving citizens’ grievances.
As the rally reached its crescendo, the pink turbans stood as a symbol of unity, solidarity, and hope for the Congress party’s resurgence in Haryana. The event showcased the party’s determination to provide a viable alternative and carve a path toward a brighter future.
