On the 109th birth anniversary of former Deputy Prime Minister Late Chaudhary Devi Lal, the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) is organizing a Samman Diwas rally at New Anaj Mandi, Fatehabad on Sunday. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, former Maharashtra CM Sharad Pawar, Sitaram Yechury and JDU General Secretary KC Tyagi have reached the rally.
Due to bad weather, arrangements have been made to bring the leaders coming from different states to Sirsa by chartered aircraft. All the leaders reached MM College, Fatehabad via road from Sirsa. After having lunch at MM College from here, INLD supremo Omprakash Chautala and MLA Abhay Chautala brought everyone to the rally site.
In his speech at the rally, Tejashwi Yadav said that there is no NDA now. Allies like Shiv Sena, Shiromani Akali Dal, and JDU have left the BJP to save democracy.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that not the third but the main alliance will be formed in the country, which will defeat the BJP. All opposition parties will have to come together. We have also requested Congress. If all the parties join the main alliance and contest the elections in the year 2024, then the BJP will lose badly. The BJP government at the Center has controlled everything including the media. They want to divide society into Hindu-Muslim.
NCP leader Sharad Pawar said that the farmers protested on the borders of Delhi for a year but the government did not take any steps to solve their problems. Farmers were promised that MSP would be provided but not given. The government promised to withdraw the cases registered against the farmers but did not fulfill it.
