Haryana Politics: Congress will also get a setback from Haryana? Kuldeep Bishnoi meets CM Manohar Lal Khattar

The Congress, which is facing the resignations and the rebel stand of the leaders, may now get a major setback from Haryana. Angry party leader Kuldeep Bishnoi has met Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and state Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. This meeting between the two leaders took place on Thursday. Kuldeep Bishnoi has tweeted the picture of this meeting with CM Khattar.

It is believed that he is upset over not being made the state unit president by the party’s high command. Not only this, he also did not attend the Chintan Shivir held in Udaipur in the past. When the party handed over the command of the Haryana Congress to Udai Bhan, he had said that he would seek an answer from Rahul Gandhi on this.

Party leader and former MLA Randeep Singh Surajewala had expressed hope that the party would respect him when Kuldeep Bishnoi was not made the president. At the same time, after meeting Manohar Lal Khattar, there is speculation in the political circles that he may join the BJP. Earlier this year also Kuldeep Bishnoi met CM Khattar.

Kuldeep Bishnoi has been a political changer. In 2006, leaving the Congress, Haryana Janhit Congress was formed. Then after 10 years in 2016, he merged his party with the Congress. However, for these ten years, he remained an ally of the BJP in the state. There was an alliance between BJP and Haryana Janhit Congress from the year 2011 to 2014.

This was the same period when the movement of Anna Hazare and Baba Ramdev was going on in the country. During this, the first by-election was held on the Hisar Lok Sabha’s seat itself. Kuldeep Bishnoi defeated the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) and Congress candidate in collaboration with BJP and Indian Against Corruption.

However, in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Kuldeep Bishnoi had to face defeat at the hands of Dushyant Chautala from Hisar’s seat, despite having an alliance with the BJP. After this defeat, Kuldeep Bishnoi was no longer a big force in Haryana.

Talking about the political legacy of Kuldeep Bishnoi, his father Bhajan Lal has been the CM of the state and a minister at the Center for almost 11 years. At the same time, Kuldeep Bishnoi has also been close to the Gandhi family. Bhajan Lal’s family has never faced defeat from the state’s Adampur assembly seat.

Kuldeep Bishnoi is also currently an MLA from Adampur assembly seat. In the year 2020, when Sachin Pilot, who was the Deputy CM in the Rajasthan government, showed rebellious attitude, Kuldeep Bishnoi tweeted a picture of Jyotiraditya Scindia, Sachin Pilot and himself.
