Lakhmichand Award to Gajender Phogat, Nirmal Pandey Award to Sunil Grover


State Level Programme Award at Panipat, 7-day Colour Festival begins with award night and Haryanvi Sang

The state’s renowned pop singer and actor Gajender Phogat has been conferred with Lakhmichand Rang Samman while Bollywood’s renowned comedian Sunil Grover was awarded the Nirmal Pandey Award. The tenth National Theatre Festival was celebrated with fanfare at Panipat. It will last for 7 days. On this occasion, various 9 people of the country were honored with color honors.

Giving more information, the program organizer and director of the Raskala Forum, Ravi Mohan said that for the last ten years, the festival is held every time before International Theatre Day. This time the festival will have both songs and dramas every day. For times, the festival will gather at the Open Air and Auditorium of the Pyte College, Panipat.

Giving further information, he said that Gajender Phogat has been given this honor for the last 27 years in the state due to serious research and continuous upliftment of public discipline. Gajender Phogat is the only artist from the state who has spread the fragrance of Haryanvi culture by crossing the boundaries of the country. He has been able to go to the United States, London, Germany, Australia, United Arab Emirates, and other countries and has also defined the water of the homegrown mother dialect. In Bollywood, the songs “Mata’s email”, “It’s Difficult” sang Haryanvi ganna “Bahu Kale Ki”, has taken 130 crore views on the OTT platform which is the history of North India. In addition, Gajender Phogat has also acted in films like Jugadi dot com, Karma, Brother’s wedding. “Sector Aali Kothi”, “Pani Aakha Ka”, “Khet me Bat “, there are many classics like gam ki Hawa, which he himself has written and composed.


Ravi said that as Art Council director Gajender Phogat has also given two international youth festivals to Haryana in which 1000 international artists from 30 countries participate. This year too, under his direction, the festival will be in October.

Noted Bollywood actor and comedian Sunil Grover (Kapil Sharma in comedy show Guthi and Dr. Gulati) was conferred with Nirmal Pandey National Colour Honours. Both the artists are from Rohtak and Dabwali districts respectively. For the first time, two artists have gone to Haryana at the National Awards.

The program was awarded to others including Lillet Dubey from Maharashtra, Satish Anand from Bihar, Govind Namdev from Madhya Pradesh, Yashu Ten, Rajendra Gupta from Mumbai. Additional DIRECTOR General of Police, Shrikant Jadhav, Haryana Kala Parishad director Sanjay Bhasin, Parimal, piet director Rakesh Talal were present on the occasion.
