Narendra Modi, Deepak, and the Khichdi Story: A Heartwarming Tale of Mentorship

In the year 1995, Narendra Modi was given the responsibility of Haryana. Once when he came to meet people at the party office, he saw a 12-year-old child there. He remembered that this child was Deepak who used to go to the Sangh branch and used to work as a cook in the BJP office. Modi asked him about his well-being.

The next day Modi made Deepak sit in his car and took him along. When the car reached Kila Road, he gave money to Deepak and asked him to bring shorts and a T-shirt for himself. Deepak says that when he wore those clothes, Modi praised him and said you are looking very good, I will also bring them for myself.

Modi was a fan of khichdi made by Deepak

Once Modi liked the khichdi made by Deepak very much, but some khichdi was left which was kept in the fridge. The next day, after seeing the remaining khichdi, he asked Deepak, what will he do with it?

Then Deepak replied that he would feed it to the cow. On this, he said that food items should never be thrown away. After this, he kneaded the dough and prepared delicious parathas by adding onion and khichdi to it. He taught the importance of proper use of food.

Deepak says that whenever he used to come to the office, he used to eat Khichdi prepared by Deepak with great enthusiasm. When he was in ninth class, Modi ji told him to never leave his studies. Had a phone conversation with him in the years 2002, 2004 and 2006.

In 2009, while going to a Hisar rally, his helicopter broke down. Then he called him to meet. After that, PM Modi invited him on the stage during the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
