BJP leader Sonali Phogat’s health suddenly deteriorated while having food at a restaurant in Goa. On being taken to the hospital, the doctors declared him brought dead. Preliminary investigations suggest that he died of a heart attack.
Goa Police has registered a case of unnatural death late Tuesday evening. Sonali’s family has also raised suspicion of murder, alleging conspiracy. The Congress has also demanded a CBI inquiry into the death of the BJP leader. At the same time, Goa Police has registered a case of unnatural death.
Doctors said that he died of a heart attack. No external injury marks were found on his body. The DGP said the real cause of death will be known from the post-mortem report. DSP Jivba Dalvi said Sonali was brought to the hospital in a dead condition. The reality will come out after the rest of the post-mortem.
