Haryana News: Martyrs War Memorial Ambala, overseen by Home Minister Anil Vij, is nearing completion in Ambala Cantonment. During Saturday’s inspection, Vij revealed that the final phase of civil work is underway, and the tender for interior work will open on November 20.
Vij directed the installation of zinc sheets on the 207-foot tall lotus-shaped memorial tower, dedicated to honoring martyrs. He also supervised the base structure preparation for an artificial lake within the premises, featuring boating facilities. Parking facilities for 450 cars and a separate floor for bus parking were surveyed.
Highlighting the memorial’s significance, Vij announced the opening of the interior work tender on November 20. This includes an open-air theater with a 2,000-seat capacity, showcasing a daily documentary on the 1857 uprising.
The complex includes a 207-foot tower, art gallery, water body, and underground parking for 450 vehicles and buses. Ten quarters for staff will also be constructed. The Martyrs’ Memorial is set to become a landmark destination, honoring the sacrifices of brave soldiers.”
