The film RRR is based on the war of two Indian revolutionaries Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem against British rule and the Nizam of Hyderabad. There are many such movies, about which we all know very little. Today we will tell about such films which were successful in showing the unheard stories of the spirit of the brave revolutionaries of our country.
1.Sardar Udham
The film ‘Sardar Udham’ is based on the life of revolutionary Sardar Udham Singh and Vicky Kaushal played the lead character. Sardar Udham Singh shot General Dyer in London in 1919 to avenge the deaths in the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar.
2. Raazi
Raazi is the true story of Sehmat, a young Indian spy. The matter is of that period, when there was a tense atmosphere between India and Pakistan in 1971, which later leads to war. Based on Harinder Sikka’s novel ‘Sahmat Calling’, this film takes us on a thrilling journey. Sehmat’s father is an agent in the Indian Intelligence and he wants to pass on the same responsibility to his daughter.
3.Sai Ra Narasimha Reddy
The film is about freedom fighter Narasimha Reddy, who fought and defeated the British. Later, however, he was hanged to death. A group of British was camped at Giddiluru in Prakasam district. Narasimha Reddy attacked this camp of British along with his army. In this, the British had to face a tremendous amount.
4. Kesari
The film is based on the Battle of Saragarhi, which was fought on 12 September 1897. This battle took place at a place called Saragarhi. This place is in modern-day Pakistan. On that day 10000 Afghan soldiers attacked the then Indian Army Post Saragarhi. 21 Sikh soldiers of the 36th Sikh Battalion of the British Indian Army were stationed at the army post built on the Saragarhi Fort.
5. Sam Bahadur
The film is based on the life of Sam Manekshaw. Sam Manekshaw’s military career spanned four decades and five wars. He was the first Indian Army officer to be promoted to the rank of Field Marshal and his military victory in the Indo-Pak war of 1971 led to the creation of Bangladesh. Vicky will be seen in the role of Sam Manekshaw in this film.
6. Gurkha
The film is based on the life of Major General Ian Cardozo who is known for his indomitable courage and valor in the Indo-Pakistani Wars of 1962, 1965 and especially in the year 1971. This brave Major General of the Gorkha Regiment of the Indian Army rescued six Pakistani soldiers in the Battle of Sylhet, Bangladesh. Ian Cardozo was called by the people of his battalion as cartridge sir. Because during the war there was a fierce explosion of a landmine, in which many soldiers were injured.
