Bollywood superstar Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan’s film ‘Anand’ proved to be a super hit. This film was liked a lot. This film was directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee. Now, this film is going to be remade. Filmmaker NC Sippy and Vikram Khakhar’s grandson Sameer Raj Sippy is gearing up for the remake. The director and cast of the film are still finalizing the scripting.
1971’s Rajesh Khanna was shown as Anand Sehgal suffering from cancer. Those who were being treated by Amitabh Bachchan but due to being suffering from last stage cancer, Rajesh Khanna loses in the battle of life and dies. Rajesh Khanna’s acting in Anand and its dialogues are remembered even today. The brilliant dialogues of the film were written by Gulzar and are still a hit and the fans still remember it.
Producer Sameer Raj Sippy said that I believe such stories need to be told to the new generation. The youth should be exposed to the cinematic heritage. “Keeping in mind the sensibilities and sentiments attached to the original film, I feel there is a need for the present generation to re-tell many stories, which are very relevant today,” he said.
Information related to the film has been kept secret for now. No disclosure has been made regarding the star cast of the film. Produced by Sameer Raj Sippy and Vikram Khakhar, the scripting of the film is at the stage.
