Brij Hotels Signs Historic Property in Dharamshala for New Luxury Resort | peddlermedia.in

Brij Hotels, a renowned hospitality brand, has recently announced the signing of Brij Anarya, a historic property located in Dharamshala, as their latest addition to their portfolio. Scheduled to be launched in June 2023, Brij Anarya will join the current collection of 7 Brij properties in India.

Brij Anarya, a luxury boutique resort, is situated in the heart of Dharamshala and holds a remarkable history that sets it apart from others. Originally known as White Haven, this 245-year-old colonial estate carries a rich Victorian legacy. Over the years, the property has played host to erstwhile Viceroys, British explorers, and several prominent dignitaries during the British Raj.

Nestled amidst the picturesque views of the snow-capped Dhauladhar range, Brij Anarya offers a unique boutique luxury experience in the lap of the Himalayas. Surrounded by tall deodar and oak trees, sprawling lawns, and lush tea plantations, the property spans across 10 acres of mountain plateau and features 12 suites. With its open windows, tall chimneys, and green tin roofs, Brij Anarya exudes an enchanting old-world charm. The resort ensures a luxurious stay for its guests with a perfect blend of Victorian decor and modern comforts. As with all Brij Hotel properties, Brij Anarya will provide immersive local experiences, allowing guests to explore the cultural treasures of the region. The resort offers a wide range of activities to engage guests within the premises and also facilitates exploring the surrounding areas. Additionally, its convenient location, merely 12 km from the Gaggal airport and a short distance from the Dharamshala bus stop adds to its appeal.

Commenting on this significant development, Shiv Mehan, CEO of Brij Hotels, expressed his excitement, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome Brij Anarya to our curated collection of highly experiential boutique resorts. This marks our second location in Himachal Pradesh. It is an honor to share the legacy of this esteemed heritage property with our guests. We look forward to transporting our guests to another era when we open our doors in June and ensuring that they take back unique memories of Dharamshala.”

Sahil Sharma, the owner of Atman Resorts LLP, also shared his enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We are delighted to collaborate with Brij Hotels, known for curating unique experiences for guests. We are committed to expanding the property into a luxury resort, offering increased inventory, dining options, and soon-to-be-launched recreation and spa facilities.”

Brij Anarya holds a distinctive position as the only property in the region with a history intertwined with the tea plantations of Kangra and the historic tea trade across the Northern Provinces, the Kashgar Region of the Hindukush, and the original Silk Route. The list of honored dignitaries who have stayed at Brij Anarya includes British explorer Robert Barkley Shaw, and administrators Sir Thomas Douglas Forsyth and Sir Donald Friel McLeod, who were highly regarded aristocrats of their time.

With its upcoming launch in June 2023, Brij Anarya will become part of the existing portfolio of 7 Brij properties in India, spanning across Uttar Pradesh (Varanasi), Rajasthan (Kukas, Pali, Jawai, Bikaner, and Jaipur), and Himachal Pradesh (Dalhousie). Moreover, Brij Hotels has plans to launch Brij Atmanya, a boutique property in Bhowali-Nainital (Uttarakhand), in the second quarter of 2023. The brand is also expanding its reach
