Deepender Hooda, Member of Parliament, marked Dussehra as the chief guest at the ancient Ramleela Committee’s celebration, symbolically setting fire to Ravana’s effigy. He wished people triumph in virtue, justice, truth, goodness, and righteousness on Vijayadashami.
Hooda emphasized that arrogance has no place, but those in power today exhibit an excess of it, distressing various sections of society, including farmers, laborers, youth, traders, and employees. People are prepared for change, ensuring that arrogance, injustice, and oppression yield to truth, righteousness, and justice.
Using Dussehra, Hooda appealed to those in power to set aside their arrogance and work diligently to alleviate people’s suffering and strengthen bonds of brotherhood.
Hooda drew a parallel between Ravana’s arrogance and the current situation, where those in power seem to forget their responsibility to serve the people. Just as Ravana’s arrogance did not stand, the arrogance of those in power today will not endure.
Deepender Hooda’s message reminds us of the need for humility and empathy in governance, echoing Dussehra’s lessons of triumphing over arrogance, change, and the welfare and harmony of society.
