Do you know DSP Surendra Singh Bishnoi? who had gone to stop illegal mining in Tawadu’s village Pachgaon on Tuesday morning, was murdered by the mining mafia on a dumpster. The driver fled with the dumper after the incident. An hour later, the police arrested one of the accused in an encounter in the Sohna area. He has been admitted to Shaheed Hasan Khan Mewati Medical College after being shot in the leg.
The accused has been identified as Ikkar, the helper of the dumper. On the other hand, Chief Minister Manohar Lal has announced to give martyr status to Bishnoi, one crore rupees to the next of kin and a government job to one person of the family. DGP PK Aggarwal, who reached the spot, said that the person arrested in the encounter is not the main accused. The sadar police station has registered a case against Mitter and Ikkar residents of Pachgaon, besides 3-4 others under sections including murder. Late night the police also confiscated the dumper.
About half a dozen dumpers running without numbers involved in illegal mining have been seized by the police from Pachgaon. Some are even filled with stones. The seized dumpers have numbers written in Hindi numerals, which are difficult to read quickly. There is also a big game going on in the number of dumpers in Nuh.
