Haryana Cabinet Makes Headlines with Land Ownership Policy and More!

Under Chief Minister Manohar Lal’s leadership, the Haryana cabinet approved several important decisions:

• Residents of four villages will receive residential land by March 31, 2023.
• A ₹500 crore state guarantee was approved for Punjab National Bank.
• Registration and renewal fees for real estate agents were increased.
• Monthly pension under the two schemes was raised from ₹10,000 to ₹15,000.
• Amendments to the Stage Carriage Scheme of 2016 were approved.

In a significant development aimed at empowering the residents of Haryana and ensuring secure land rights, the state cabinet, under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Manohar Lal, approved the policy to provide residential land or plots to the residents of four villages – Dhandhoor, Piranwali, Jheeri (Chikanwas), and Babran (Basti and Diggie Tal) by March 31, 2023. According to this policy, residents living on the land of the government livestock farm, Hisar, spread across 1873 kanals and 19 marlas, will be eligible for ownership rights.

Furthermore, the Cabinet approved a proposal to provide a state government guarantee of ₹500 crore to Punjab National Bank to fulfill the capital expenditure of the approved loan of ₹500 crore for the Urban Environment Improvement Project (UEIP).

In a move to regulate real estate agents, the Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority, Gurugram, and Panchkula have approved amendments to the registration and renewal fees. Under the revised provisions, the registration and renewal fees for individual and proprietary firms have been increased from ₹25,000 and ₹5,000 respectively to ₹50,000 and ₹10,000.

In another significant decision, the monthly pension amount under the Hindi Movement-1957 and Haryana State Shubhra Jyotsana Pension and Other Facilities Scheme, 2018, has been increased from ₹10,000 to ₹15,000. The increased pension amount will be implemented with immediate effect.

To enhance public transportation services and meet the growing needs of citizens, the amendment to the Stage Carriage Scheme of 2016, prepared under Chapter VI of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, has been approved.
