Former Haryana CM Khattar Accuses Congress of Bogus Voting
Despite the presence of adequate police forces at many polling booths, reports of bogus voting have surfaced, indicating lapses in the electoral process. Khattar emphasized the need for stringent actions against such malpractices, acknowledging the prevalence of bogus voting to some extent. He asserted that appropriate measures must be taken to address these issues.
Involvement of Government Employees
Khattar highlighted the identification of government employees affiliated with political parties. Some individuals have faced suspension, while others have received notices, signalling forthcoming disciplinary actions. Khattar announced that actions would be taken against those found guilty of election misconduct after June 4th. He instructed the Chief Minister’s office to compile a list of such individuals in collaboration with CM Nayab Saini.
Disruption in Pension Disbursement
In response to allegations of interference in the electoral process by government employees, Khattar implemented measures to prevent further disruptions. A circular was issued, suspending the disbursement of pensions to approximately 25,000 individuals for two months, as an administrative response to potential electoral interference.
Any new circulars, excluding emergencies, will not be issued until June 4th. Khattar affirmed that actions would be taken against the four individuals responsible for halting pension payments.
The political landscape in Haryana remains charged as Khattar’s revelations raise concerns about electoral integrity and the impartiality of government institutions. As investigations continue, the state braces for potential repercussions on both political and administrative fronts.
