The Haryana government has recently introduced significant changes to the Family ID rules, which may affect individuals who possess multiple Family IDs for the same family. Under the new regulations, if a person has more than one Family ID, it could lead to increased difficulties in the future. Additionally, individuals seeking new electricity connections will no longer be issued a new Family ID.
The new rules state that individuals constructing a house must provide the number of the new electricity meter connection, as the Family ID cannot be changed without it. Over three lakh families in the Bhiwani district have already received their Identity Cards, necessitating a correction report to be filed with the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM).
Moreover, the caste certificate will not be granted to children whose parents are deceased or whose mother has remarried after the father’s demise. The application for a caste certificate requires income information, making it difficult to obtain one without providing the necessary details.
These changes in the Family ID rules aim to streamline processes and ensure accurate identification and representation of families in Haryana. It is essential for individuals to stay informed about these updates to avoid potential difficulties or discrepancies related to their Family IDs.
