Haryana Panchayat elections will be held in 6228 gram panchayats in Haryana

For the first time, instead of 500 votes, there is a plan to make one booth for 1000 votes in the state. It is estimated that 14 thousand booths will be made in the state. For all the three posts, 42 thousand EVM machines will be required, while training will be given to the employees from the remaining machines. At present, the Commission has about 73 thousand EVM machines in stock.

According to the commission, this time Haryana Panchayat elections are to be held for 71741 posts in Haryana. Of these, elections are to be held for 6228 Sarpanch, 62022 Panch, 30380 posts of Block Samiti and 411 posts of Zilla Parishad. The highest number of Gram Panchayats are in Yamunanagar district with 490 and the lowest is 100 in Faridabad district.

The commission has decided that the election of this only panch will be done by ballot paper and for the election of sarpanch, block committee member and Zilla Parishad member, voters will have to press the button of EVM. The last time it was used in Panchkula and Rewari and it was successful. In these two districts, only the election of panch was done through ballot paper.
