On ‘Delhi Police Raising Day,’ Rohit Shetty’s “Indian Police Force” hits OTT platforms. The plot, following SP Kabir Malik (Sidharth Malhotra) and Joint CP Vikram Bakshi (Vivek Oberoi) combating bombings in the capital, disappoints with clichés and weak writing.

What Doesn’t Work:

Written by Shetty and team, the storyline feels rehashed, with artificial sets and weak attention to detail. Tension around a bomb-related subplot lacks depth. Dialogues sound rehearsed, and attempts at humor fall flat. Predictable clichés and a runtime exceeding 4 hours undermine the show’s impact. The ambiguous title, focusing mainly on the Delhi Police, raises questions.

What Works?:

Despite shortcomings, Shetty’s use of the police siren sound and hand-to-hand combat sequences stand out. However, these positives are overshadowed by larger drawbacks.

Star Performances:

Malhotra’s Kabir lacks charisma, Oberoi’s Bakshi is inconsistent, and Shilpa Shetty’s character is poorly written. Supporting characters by Kelkar, Dheer, and Rishi suffer from weak roles, while Taandon and Parshurami offer relatively better performances.

Last Words:

Compared to Shetty’s comedy mastery in “Cirkus,” “Indian Police Force” disappoints in the action genre. Clichés, weak writing, and subpar execution make it a lackluster addition to OTT content.
