The month of Sawan has started from today. Kanwar Yatra has started across the country. In which more number of Kanwariyas go to Haridwar and Gomukh than Delhi and NCR.

The police of North Eastern district have identified the roads through which there is a large number of movement of Kawadis. Including GT Road (from Keshav Chowk to Yamuna Bridge), ISBT, Wazirabad Road (Signature Bridge from Bhopura Border), Road No. 66 (Gokulpuri T-Point to Seelampur T-Point), Road No. 68, Pusta Road. Devotees pass through these routes for Kavad Yatra.
The Kavad Mela, the main festival of the month of Sawan, is starting on July 14. This Kavad fair will be organized in Haridwar, Uttarakhand till July 26. When Kavadis from different parts of the country reach Haridwar on foot or through Kavad to collect holy Ganges water. A large number of Kavadis from Delhi and NCR go to Haridwar, Gaumukh, Gangotri Dham, and Rishikesh in Uttarakhand to take holy Ganges water.
