Kedarnath & Hemkund Sahib Ropeways News: The Union Cabinet has approved two major ropeway projects in Uttarakhand, aiming to make pilgrimage travel easier and faster. These ropeways will connect Sonprayag to Kedarnath and Govindghat to Hemkund Sahib, significantly reducing travel time and making the journey safer for devotees.

Faster & Safer Pilgrimage

The Kedarnath Ropeway will be approximately 12.9 km long, reducing the current 8-9-hour trek to just 36 minutes. Similarly, the Hemkund Sahib Ropeway will cover 12.4 km, reducing the day-long journey to a mere 45 minutes.
