On Tuesday and Thursday, the Vice-Chancellor will see the patients in the Pediatric Cardiology Clinic. Heartsick children will not have to go to Delhi-Chandigarh and new specialists will also be ready. Small children suffering from serious diseases will get relief.
On February 17, a new chapter is going to be added to the achievements of Haryana’s largest medical centre PGIMS Rohtak. Under this, accessible treatment will be provided to children up to 12 years of heart disease. For this, the pediatric cardiology clinic is going to start in the OPD of the institute on Thursday.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Health Sciences and Children’s Cardiologist Prof. Anita Saxena herself will treat such children. Not only this, but new doctors in this clinic will also get a chance to learn the nuances of treating children.
The Pediatric Cardiology Clinic at PGI will be inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor of Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences himself. She will examine heart-sick children every week on Tuesdays and Thursdays in this clinic, starting in room number 141 on the first floor of the OPD building. Children in need will also be operated upon.
Presently, the number of heart operations for children in the institute is less. The number of such operations will be increased in the clinics being started for heart sick children. After examining the children in the OPD, operation will also be done if needed.
