Thieves took away the golden letterbox in honour of Neeraj Chopra

At around 9:30 in the morning of January 10, he came to know that a thief, including the steel pillar chain of the letter box, had been uprooted. Inspector Kamaljeet, in-charge of police station Old Industrial Panipat, said that this is a serious matter. As soon as the complaint is received, a case will be registered in the police station and action will be taken.

In honour of Golden Boy Neeraj Chopra, resident of Khandara village, who created history by winning the gold medal in Javelin Throw for India in Tokyo Olympics, 4 days ago, a golden letter box was installed by the postal department in his native village Khandara, whose pillars were stolen.

In-charge of Panipat Head Post Office, Naresh Dhiman, son of Ramchandra, a resident of Model Town, said in a complaint to the police that in the honor of Neeraj Chopra, on August 14, 2021, the Indian Postal Department, Haryana Circle, with the main gate of Panipat’s main post office, was painted gold. A special letter box was set up.
