In Varanasi, preparations are being made to set up a camping spot on the banks of the Ganga Ghat.

You must have seen many temples in Baba Vishwanath’s city Banaras, and many times you must have sat on the banks of the ghat, but have you ever enjoyed staying in a tent near the ghat? Yes, maybe you must have enjoyed camping on the banks of canals in the mountains, but did you ever think that you would get to enjoy it in Banaras too, didn’t you? We didn’t even think. Soon the work of Tent City has been started on the sand across the Ganges in Banaras. In the new year i.e. in the first week of January, tourists will be able to enjoy the luxury facilities in the tent city in front of the historical Ghats.

Facilities will be provided on 100 acres of land for the tent city being set up on the opposite side of Assi to Dashashwamedh Ghat. Thirteen departments, including the Varanasi Development Authority, are involved in this in one form or another.

The work of setting up this tent city has been given to two firms, where a total of 600 tents will be installed. In this tent city, many facilities will be provided along with river cottages, restaurants, a banquet hall, a yoga center, an art gallery, craft market. Here tourists can also enjoy water sports, and camel and horse riding.
