Haryana Congress Promises Four Deputy Chief Ministers if Elected in 2024

Haryana Congress 2024

Bhupinder Singh Hooda, a senior Congress leader in Haryana, has stated that if his party wins in 2024, they’ll appoint four Deputy Chief Ministers, including one from the Brahmin community. This follows Kumari Shailja, the Congress General Secretary, rejecting the idea of multiple Deputy Chief Ministers and emphasizing non-caste-based Chief Minister selection.

When asked about Shailja’s response, Hooda mentioned that these issues aren’t in the party’s election manifesto but are purely political. Notably, there’s a divide between Hooda’s and Shailja’s factions within the Haryana Congress, with Shailja’s group opposing Hooda’s political empowerment.

“Mayors Gain Authority to Suspend Junior Engineers and Clerks in Haryana”

Haryana’s Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has given mayors of municipal corporations the power to suspend junior engineers, clerks, and other ‘Group C and D’ employees, including clerks, assistants, and electricians.

Khattar also increased the administrative approval limit for mayors from ₹2.50 crore to ₹10 crore during a meeting with mayors and senior deputy mayors, stressing mayors’ representation and decentralization’s role in empowering Panchayati Raj institutions over the past nine years.
