In a groundbreaking move, Haryana Roadways announces buses can be booked for private events, specifically weddings. Individuals can now opt for Haryana Roadways buses to transport wedding parties, covering a distance of over 150 kilometers. With a fleet of 82 new buses available at the depot, bookings can be made at any time.
The Roadways Department introduced a fare structure based on the distance traveled, with rates set for different slabs of kilometers. The minimum distance for booking is set at 160 kilometers, ensuring the service is accessible to residents in need of wedding transportation.
Senior officials from the Roadways Union noted that while the booking facility for Roadways buses has always been in place, due to the prevalence of private vehicles, attention has shifted away from this service.
