Hisar Airport to Launch Air Services in April, Declares Haryana Deputy CM

Haryana’s Deputy Chief Minister, Dushyant Chautala, announced on Monday that Hisar Airport will commence air travel services from April this year. An MOU with Ellis Air is expected shortly after extensive talks.

Chautala, also overseeing the Civil Aviation Department, shared the news after a meeting with Ellis Air officials in Chandigarh. The state’s air connectivity will prioritize Viability Gap Funding (VGF), ensuring affordable fares for travelers.

Initial plans involve 70-seater aircraft operating on routes connecting Hisar to Chandigarh, Delhi, Jammu, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, and Kullu. A review of routes is slated for 90 days post-launch, with potential expansions to cities like Lucknow, Varanasi, and Ambala based on demand.
