Jat is a race, not a caste

In northern India, if an eight-month-old pregnant woman is seen working in a field, it is highly likely that she will have to be Jaatni. If a soldier of a well-built stature is seen standing on the border of the country, even then the thing of his being a Jat comes to mind, even if he is not a Jat. Courage and physical work are the innate qualities of the Jat, so the Jat is basically a farmer and a capable soldier. For this reason, it is probably believed that Jats are generally not a very intelligent breed. I have used the word race in place of caste, which will be discussed later.

There have been attacks on India by foreign invaders. The Jats have fought for their land by putting their lives on the line. In this battle, the cooperation of the Jaatni was not only to bandage the injured but the husband and wife used to fight by tying themselves on their backs with the same waistband. The husband was saved from the front and the wife at the back.

Jats did not find any place in the four varnas mentioned in the Indian mythological texts, so they have a different identity. Their facial features, physical appearance and abilities, skin colour, customs and body language are enough to give details of their history and their place of origin. Jats can be defined on the basis of genes and DNA from southern Russia to Iran-Iraq. That’s why Jat is a race, not a caste.

Kalika Ranjan Kanungo, Upendra Nath Sharma, Jadunath Sarkar, Nathan Singh and Kunwar Natwar Singh have written extensively on the origin and history of Jats. The most important of these is the book of Kalika Ranjan. While analyzing the character of the Jats, he writes that while dying, the Jatt dies by telling his successor how much debt is to be paid by whom. Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya has called Jats the backbone of India.

Jat is a progressive breed. Progressive and evolutionary rituals like widow marriage have been in place among Jats from the very beginning. In relation to religious rites, the Jats give priority to ‘Utsav’ and not ‘orthodox’. In search of freedom and progress, Jats do not hesitate to adopt religions and sects like Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Arya Samaj etc. Panchayat also started with the tribes of Jats. Despite all this, there is a severe lack of expression among the Jats.

It can be said that Jat has intelligence but lacks maturity. Also, there is a famous saying related to Jats that ‘Think the world ahead and the Jats think behind’ that means other people of the world think before doing but Jats think after doing. This is one of the biggest flaws of the Jats, which must now be rectified.

Etymology of the word Jat :-

The word Jat is derived from a known Sanskrit word, or rather it is an aberration of a known word. In about 1450 BC or during the Mahabharata period, there was a widespread effect of anarchy in India, it had crossed the limit of imperialist rulers in northern India. Seeing this situation, Krishna, with the help of Balarama, eliminated Kansa and appointed Ugrasen as the ruler of Mathura, Krishna formed a union to fight the imperialist rulers. But first, they formed a union of Andhak and Vrishni clans, the members of the union were related to each other, that is why the name of that union was named Janati-Sangh.

Thakur Deshraj writes that after the Mahabharata war there was a political conflict, due to which the Pandavas had to leave Hastinapur and the Yadavas had to leave Dwarka, these people spread out of India to Iran, Afghanistan, Arab and Turkistan countries. They spread to Sindh, Punjab, Saurashtra, Central India and Rajasthan, in the East-North these people spread to Kashmir, Nepal, and Bihar, not only this they also reached the Mongol country.

It is said that the Pandavas reached Siberia and settled Vajrapur there and thus claim to be the children of Krishna and Baldev. The residents of China also consider themselves to be the children of Indian Aryans, due to which Aryans are definitely found to go abroad after Mahabharata.

The historical information about the genealogy of the Jat dynasty is very detailed, we have given information only on the main aspects in this post, yet if any important information has been misused, then we are apologetic for that.
