Veteran investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala passes away at 62

Stock market veteran Rakesh Jhunjhunwala has passed away. He breathed his last at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. Recently Jhunjhunwala entered the aviation sector. He invested in Akasa Airlines.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also condoled the death of Jhunjhunwala. He was a wonderful person, he said. Full of life, spot on, responsive and practical. He said, Jhunjhunwala has left behind an indelible contribution to the economic world. He was very passionate about the progress of India.

Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, who has invested in a variety of businesses, recently also invested in Akasa Airlines. Jhunjhunwala held 40 percent stake in it. This investment was made at a time when most airlines are making losses. Akasa Airlines purchased 72 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft for its flights by the American aerospace company.
