A glimpse of Haryanvi culture is being seen in Tabar Utsav going on in Government Model Culture Senior Secondary School. The symbols of Haryanvi culture prepared by children using POP and clay, Hookah, Pestle, Kundi-Sota, and other items were the center of attraction. Special interest and enthusiasm were seen in the students toward the artistic subject.
Students are actively participating in the camp to get information about artistic subjects from colors and to learn the skill of artistry. In the workshop, Artist Dr. Pawan Bhatia and his colleague Ajay Rana innovated the art through a live model demo.
On Monday, DPRO Sanjeev Saini, Diet Principal Virendra Malik, and District Education Officer Rohtash Verma inspected the camp and guided the students. Principal OKS Lata Chaudhary appreciated the initiative of Art and Cultural Officer Hridaya Kaushal. He said that along with knowing their culture, the time of the children will also be put to good use. He said that our culture has gone to the museum. We are forgetting our own culture.
The main purpose of the Tabar Utsav is to keep the extinct culture alive. Earlier children used to play with clay toys. Then toys made of plastic and wood came in place of clay. Due to modernity, our culture started becoming extinct. Things made of clay have also been found in the Harappan civilization.
