After this fact came on 31st May, on 9th June, the Cabinet Government of the Center decided that Punjabi speaking area of ​​Kharar tehsil should be given to Punjab and Hindi speaking area to Haryana. Chandigarh was made a Union Territory. This issue would not have arisen had Chandigarh not become a Union Territory.

In the special session of the Haryana Legislative Assembly, the resolution resolution was passed unanimously in support of the issues related to the interests of Haryana, including the construction of SYL, giving Hindi-speaking area to Haryana, and opposing the resolution passed by the Punjab Vidhan Sabha regarding the capital Chandigarh.
