In Kaithal, Haryana, a heated argument broke out on Friday between the State Commission for Women chairperson and a woman police officer over a marital dispute. During this, the commission’s chairperson reprimanded the policeman in front of everyone, asked him to go out, and warned of departmental inquiry.
The alleged incident took place during a meeting between Renu Bhatia, chairperson of the Women’s Commission, and police officials in Kaithal, Haryana, the video of which is going viral on social media.
In the viral video, Bhatia can be heard telling the lady policeman, “You could have slapped him (the man). You got the girl examined thrice (medically). get the hell out. There will be a departmental inquiry against you.”
Actually, we got a case related to a husband and wife. The husband misbehaved with the members of the commission and the police several times. The man wanted to divorce the wife because, according to him, she was not ‘physically fit.
