After the last full academic session and half of the current academic session in Haryana, the education department has lost its sleep. After waiting for about one and a half years, the schedule for admission in private schools has been issued to poor children under 134A.
All private schools will have to inform about vacant seats from class II to XII by October 17. Interested students can apply from 24 October to 7 November. The entrance exam will be held on November 14 and the result will be declared on November 19. Admission will be given to eligible children from November 26 to December 8.
Director of Elementary Education Anshaj Singh has issued written orders to all District Education Officers and Elementary Education Officers. With this, the wait that has been going on for one and a half years for free admission to the poor children in eight thousand 600 private schools has ended.
In the last academic session 2020-21, the Education Department had shown one lakh 87 thousand 984 seats reserved for poor children in 6980 private schools across the state. During this, one lakh two thousand 963 children applied online, but due to Corona, admission could not be done till date.
