    Haryana government’s big decision, ‘The Kashmir Files’ film made tax free

    The Haryana government has made the film ‘The Kashmir Files’ tax-free in the state for six months. The Excise and Taxation Department has issued an order in this regard to all the Deputy Excise and Taxation Commissioners of State Tax on Friday. The department will have to see that cinema theatre, multiplexes can neither increase the existing seats of various categories nor allow more people than their capacity.

    Theater and multiplex operators will not be able to collect state GST from the audience on tickets during the six months. All the Deputy Excise and Taxation Commissioners will have to implement the latest order and send the action report to the headquarters by March 14. The Finance Department will issue separate orders to the Excise Department to reimburse the State GST.
