In the next four days, thunderstorms witness rain in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, UP

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a fresh spell of isolated light rains are set to drench North Punjab, North Haryana and Chandigarh during the next four days. Uttar Pradesh would witness similar wet conditions from February 24 to 26

As for the capital city, the sky is likely to remain partly cloudy for the day, with the air quality index (AQI) settling in the ‘moderate’ range of 169 on Wednesday morning. Delhi’s AQI is likely to drop to ‘poor’ category due to relatively low wind speed and weak dispersion on Wednesday and Thursday, says System of Air Quality Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR).

With this active condition, most places have recorded ‘larger excess’ rainfall than their long-term average between January 1 and February 22. Punjab has recorded the highest rainfall of 120 mm, followed by Delhi (96 mm). )), Haryana (80 mm), Uttar Pradesh (54 mm) and Rajasthan (26 mm).
